Hello Everyone,
I recently applied an epoxy floor coating in my garage and decided to share my experience on my website. Check it out and you might want to do yours.

Looks good. But, you are ruining my garage sheet rock project because now I think I should do the floor too (while the garage is empty).

Reconsider using Sheetrock in a garage. I've switched to beadboard. Takes much more abuse, looks great painted or raw and practically heals on its own.

Looks good. I did an epoxy floor about 9 years ago using some good industrial chems. Its holding up well. However, there are a few lifted spots now. Heres a few tips to preserve the coating: Even good epoxy doesnt like hot tires parked in the same spot year after year. Get or make some sort of wheel pad to go where you put the car every time you pull in. The hot tires combined with the weight will eventually lift pieces of the epoxy. Also, metal wheeled floor jacks do fine rolling over the floor. But the floor takes a beating at the point where you actually jack up the car. Mucho PSI. An 1/8" aluminum plate under the jack works well.

If you're using your garage for really working on your car (jacking, dropping, spilling, welding, etc.) You can't beat painted/stained concrete. Go to garagejournal.com they have over 500 pages of flooring questions.

Let the flames begin....
