Miniature working engines are fun!

And I appreciate the obvious German examples the best!

(And one of the V8's looks like it's going to shake itself apart!)

Incredible!
Maybe I am biased but that flat 6 in the beginning sounded the best. The V8 at 9:20 was pretty cool too.

Very Cool!

Wish I didn't sell this one.....

The mini 911 was really cool. There were a couple of others that seemed cooler than most of the rest even though they were all very neat. I also liked the 18 cyl radial.

I've always thought this whole thing was pretty amazing.
It's been around forever.

You look at the hands = old geezers trying to stay out of the wife's way! :D

To me this is silly, the ultimate "killing time", a luxury I am sure. I have said this before on model building threads ... I'd rather build the 1:1 scale model. Strangely some could and still prefer the models!?

Thanks for sharing. I did enjoy the 18 cylinder Sternmotor.

Trustee From The Toolroom, a great book by Nevil Shute that goes into it in some detail but has a gripping story too.

I saw this car (and saw it get fired up) at Eyes on Design once, and it was just amazing.

The same guy that wrote "On the Beach"? I've never heard of that book but I'll keep my eye out for it now!

That miniature Bridgeport mill is about the coolest thing this side of a scale model working flat 6 Porsche motor!
