getting shotgun barrels threaded for chokes?
 

good-bad idea?

over and under. anyone have a GREAT gun-smitty they recommend? i would not have a problem sending them the barrel..hell, it would be easy boxing.
there is a shortage of good gunsmiths in my area. if they are good, they are booked for years.

Isnt Briley the name for aftermarket tube threading?

Yep I'd think briley.

However I'd also consider the cost as a % of the value of the gun as well as potential balance impact.

How's it choked now?
