i did this at my recently purchased house a few months ago. Since I had just spent a large fraction of my savings on the downpayment, I was relatively price sensitive. The reading can be overwelming. In the end I cheaped out a bit and went with the rustoleum solvent based (have to buy online) and applied 3 coats. I think I was in for $500 or so which was at least half as cheap as what the premium 100% solids stuff costs. Im sure it is not as good but it looks nice and is holding up well to jack stands and the like. I am installing a maxjax now and dragging a 250lb piece of metal with a sharp corner over it will scratch it.

On our first bay we had it sanded and then epoxy coated, lasted 5 years and is starting to flake. In our other bays we had the floor shot blasted and then coated. Both products were similar industrial grade epoxy. The shot blasted floors look like new 3 years later. We will be shot blasting again in the original bay and our new expansion as well.
