Not looking so great for those in the leeward islands, PR, USVI and potentially the Bahamas and FL (again).

It does seem that Mother Earth is shaking her fist at us.

Great, I just took my hurricane shutters down.

I can't even imagine the result of a 1 - 2 punch like this on those islands.

What islands? I heard 80% lost everything and it will take atleast a year to try to rebuild. Entire homes and foundations gone. I guess that's the price you pay to live in paradise.

It used to be multiple per winter, there was this thing called Hurricane season.

Guess they hit some other part of the world for a while?

No matter where you live your a victim of these storms. Because you're forced to pay for it even if you live thousands of miles from any nice beach. I might as well build a house right on top of a fault then collect a check every time the ground shakes the house apart. Because its not my fault I decided to move there, build a house and not get any insurance at all and be wondering how did things go wrong?

There is no shortage of people who couldn't be bothered to get insurance but sure as hell know how to set up a gofund me page. https://www.gofundme.com/relief-for-houston-flood

I'm done donating any cash to any more coastal disasters now but it makes great TV.

I THINK someone shat on an ancient Indian burial mound...

Porsche-O-Phile 09-18-2017 03:57 PM

Update Statement from NHC now upgrades it to Cat 5... Wow! Sorry for the folks in Dominica, Martinique, USVI, BVI, PR, Bahamas...

If this thing heads to the southeast USA like I think it's going to do based on the forecast track... Well. Ugly. Major.
