Crazy street racing, gotta be fake right?
This "feels" like BS reality TV to me.

These guys have some serious street cars. I've followed them on youtube for a long time. I don't know how they get away with what they do but I believe it's all real.

It is real. The stuff on TV is done with cooperation with the law enforcement people. That video was not filmed for TV and it was real. Ive met/talked with Shane, the Vega driver and he is a serious racer.

How are they careless enough to not have the area secured against cops in a wide radius and run right into them? That's why I thought it was fake.
Who won the 15k? I stopped watching when they started yelling at each other. ![]() G |

The race couldn't be completed so the purse was split 50/50.

Interesting. Where did the money come from? 150 spectators each paying 100 bucks?
It was scary seeing them fly by the light poles at undoubtedly triple digit speeds ... G |

Participants pay to race. Probably a $500.00 to a $1,000 buy in and then run till you lose or hopefully win.

CAr was trailered there for the race, why not do it at a drag strip and avoid cops or hurting by standards? They can still bet

Westpark tollway yo!
Up to 6 miles of nice straight flat road, with barriers on both sides, 2 lanes, and most importantly, only about 1 entrance ramp per mile. Easy to block it off for a 1 mile drag race at 2am, and exits to major freeways allows quick escape at the end...

Happens here too
Illegal NC street races arranged quickly, over even quicker | News & Observer Lambert said one of his old friends, Garland Earp, wasn’t so fortunate when he died while watching a street race near Middlesex in northern Johnston County on Sunday. Earp, 39, was one of three killed when a driver veered off Simon Road and slammed into a group of spectators. The driver, Jimmy Pearce II, 37, of Zebulon, has been charged with four counts of second-degree murder, in addition to assault charges for three others who were injured. Detectives are still looking for another driver from the two-man race who drove away after the crash. Few details have surfaced about the other driver or how the race was organized. Authorities say that’s not unusual.
