Another passenger removed from a flight
This time a South West flight.
Woman complained she had a "severe pet allergy" and could not prove she would not be at risk while on the plane because there was a pet and a service dog on the flight. The airline asked her to deplane and she refused. Police called. She stated she was a "professor" so I guess that makes her special. She wanted the dogs removed but didn't get her way. :) Woman removed from Southwest plane at BWI Airport after reporting allergy, refusing to leave - Baltimore Sun |
“We are disheartened by the way this situation unfolded and the Customer’s removal by local law enforcement officers,” Southwest said in a statement. “We publicly offer our apologies to this Customer for her experience and we will be contacting her directly to address her concerns.
Apologies to this customer? Are they really seeking a slew of copycat incidents? They should be apologizing to the 299 other passengers who were all made late and had to witness her behavior. (That is what I profess.) |

WTF animals got more rights than people.
I bet if was a peanut allergy everyone on board would have for go their complementary peanuts. |
Hard to say who was really in the wrong. We don't know if the lady really had an allergy or if the service dog was really a service dog.

She is a professor........ "Women's Studies in Religion Program"
Can you guess what religion? :) Here's a hint..... it's one that doesn't like dogs. :) |

If she had such a "life-threatening allergy," she would have made arrangements with the airline before flying, like people with peanut allergies do. Her willingness to fly anyway with this "life-threatening allergy" and these dogs aboard proves she's lying. To expect another passenger to leave the plane with their dogs demonstrates astonishing arrogance and disregard for others. Fuch her.

5 Charges Filed Against Woman Who Was Forcibly Removed From Southwest Flight After Complaining of Allergies | KTLA |
i have moderate to severe dander allergies. a dog on a plane could make the trip miserable for me. a horse on the plane would likely kill me (asthma) if the flight were more than 1/2 hr or so.
yes, i know a horse isn't going to be on a plane but if i can be so horribly allergic to an animal it seems reasonable that someone else could be as well |
So Beretta, how would you have conducted yourself in this case, what would be your expectations regarding other passengers, those with the animals and the others, what do you expect from the airline carrier? Do you carry a dr's note, for lack of a better term, while traveling?
|
I sat next to a horse on a flight to El Paso once. Nearly killed me.
|
I personally would've sucked it up. When I travel I keep an inhaler with me.

God, I hope she goes to jail. People are incredibly entitled these days.
|
I suffered horribly from allergies as a kid. After 20 years of allergy shots my allergies are virtually gone.
I would rather suffer with allergies than have to have a screaming baby on the plane. But that is just me as a grumpy old man. |

And thank you in advance for leaving your service animal miniature horse at home.

If you want to understand just what a complete idiot this woman is, do a little digging into the subject matter of the class she taught. It's even more stupid and useless than is normal for someone in "women's studies."
|
Well " Daulatzai was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, failure to obey a reasonable and lawful order, disturbing the peace, obstructing and hindering a police officer and resisting arrest, according to Maryland Transportation Authority Police."
It will be interesting to see the outcome of these charges. |
It's obviously racist profiling by the police. Obviously grounds for some NFL player to kneel this weekend.
|
She should fly Saudi Arabia Airlines next time.
|
Her personal attributes might be legally immaterial to the situation.
(but ROTFLMAO stupid all the same) (did I mention ROTFLMAO? Ok I guess I did.) It's about a grown adult feigning to have a medical situation, With no official medical literature or justification, With no supplies such as oxygen or epinephrine or steroids or whatever the severely allergic normally use whenever traveling in public places with exposure to peanuts/animals/other. And knowingly putting herself in harms way to potentially cost the airliners and customers and industry permanent harm as a whole. That potential harm should be attributed to the complaintor. |
Of course............. children with nut allergies need to be protected.
We have to segregate their food from nuts. Have their medication available at all times. And anybody who manufactures or serves food needs to be aware of deadly nut allergies. Of course, of course. But maybe........ Maybe, if touching a nut kills you, you're supposed to die. From Louis CK. |
