Dog saves his buddy in the pool...
I just saw the most amazing video on the local news...out of Mesa, Az. A large black dog had gotten into a pool, and didn't know how to get out. His buddy, another large black dog (both Labs mebbe?) went in, helped push the first dog out over the edge, and then exited the proper way...amazing.
Dawgs....just gotta love 'em

what a great story!!
i had to teach our lab where the stairs were..i just jumped in fully dressed and led him to the stairs..in hindsight i could have probably stood by the stairs and called him. i was a teen..everything was swing for the fences.

Squirrels like pools, often jumping in during the summer months. Problem is once in, they usually cant get out.: a bit disconcerting explaining that to children(

Saw the video on the news this morning.
Pretty cool. I would have really been impressed if he'd shown the other dog how to use the steps.

I love dogs. We get along, but I learned as a kid never to go swinging with a young lab whose owner made it think its a lap dog and wants to be picked!
If you think jumping up on you is bad, imaging all those dog paddling claws trying to swim up on you!! (I almost drowned and likely lost a lot of blood )
