Yet another one of my crazy ideas/projects
You guys have always been great for bouncing my ideas & online projects off. Good or bad :)
I'm always looking for cool new stuff to stick on my bikes for my travels, so thought others might be able to benefit from my research. I put this site together rather quickly, so its still evolving, but you should get the general idea. Any feedback for me? I can handle it :) Cool Moto Stuff |
Rich...I think it's a great idea. My only comment is the way the photos distort when the cursor moves across them makes it hard to see the photos. I know....viewers should have the cursor to the right side....I guess. But I like to move my cursor across the page so I can click on any item. That's just my personal preference. Something your web master might appreciate.
Other than that...very cool....and best of luck with it! |
Thanks, Baz! I might try to tone down the roll-over effect. I do know what you mean.
|
It looks great, except for the rollover. I agree with Baz.

It's marked as 'not appropriate for work' so I'm blocked.
Any way you can avoid the blocking? Lot's of people shop for stuff from work... |
Great website Richard. I wish you all the best with your new venture.:)

Who will "curate" the picks? And who decides which ones are on top?
Sometimes it's all about Marketing to get the eyeballs... The look and feel mimics the new "Explore" feature on Amazon, so that's a good thing for UX. And what's the path to profitability? :) |

Some, but not all of the posts have affiliate info built into the links, so if the product is purchased, I get a small percentage. If I can somehow manage to get a lot of eyeballs, it can eventually add up to something significant. |
