The Jewish population in the USA is between a rock and hard place. As I have stated before they vote Democratic Party and mostly support liberal causes.....yet it is the Repblican White House that is taking the tough stand on the war on Terrorism. You might also say they helped defeat George the 1st in 92.

I firmly believe that no matter which Presidential canidate won in 2000. Gore or GW the invasion of Afganistan would have taken place and the hunt for Al Qeda would be going on. The Federal Bureaucracy....State Dept, DOD, Treasury would all have said either you take strong action or the game is over...kiss the USA Goodbye.

Now what a Gore Presidency would have done beyond that initial response is anybodys guess. The Bush White House at least has people who have been around the block a couple of times, and a couple of them you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley.

I think it is foolish to think that oil is the the sole reason why the USA wants to change regimes in Irak. I think one needs to look at the bigger picture. In terms of geopolitics, showing the world that we will take an active role in the region, effecting a more moderate government in Irak. Which will send a message through out the Islamic world that the USA supports the moderates and won't lie down for the fundamentalists.. Also taking the threat of weapons of MD off the table..... Anyway just some more thoughts on the matter.....as a kind of work in progress.

According to the 29 years that I have spent in France, and the change I have witnessed there, I can tell you that those acts of vandalism are most likely the fact of Arabs. This is exactly this type of problems that Chirac wanted to avoid by preventing a war of the western civilization against the arab world.

All the problems have occured when some Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia have started to turn their back on the US, because they were pissed at their support of Israel. Other countries such as Iraq, were already using the euro for their oil transactions. The dollar would collapse if it was not the currency for oil transactions. And the euro would prevail. It is true that the US economy will return to the dark ages wihtout cheap oil. The dollar is backed by oil. And the whole US economy is based on consumption, not production.

I'd be interested to know how they determined what size hole an airplane would make if it hit the Pentagon. What size hole is consistent with an airplane hitting a building that is constructed like no other building on earth? What other examples did they use to establish this theory?. Are there some extensive studies that investigated what size holes planes of different sizes would make after hitting a building that was constructed like the Pentagon? That is just way too funny. If that loony French authors theory didn't have enough holes in it already, this alone would be enough to discount the entire theory.

Did you not read the comments that preceded my post? I was referring to the fact that Aurel made some comments that could easily be considered semi-looney. My comments were also made in a half way joking manner, I thought that would be obvious to some of the "sharper crayons in the box". Either they were semi joking, or I am klansman. Which is more likely?

Of course I realize that my family also immigrated to this country. I spoke to my grandmother about this all the time. She immigrated from Europe. She loved the United States or better yet, I would say she almost worshipped the United States. She was thankful for the freedoms and the opportunity this country provided, and that I think is the major difference. She would get so upset when people would make ignorant, negative comments about the country she so dearly loved. I don't like reading about people who immigrate here, bash the United States and talk about how great their old country was. That is the sign of someone who does not appreciate what this country is all about.

As for my education level, that is probably an area you don't want to challenge me on, unless you are feeling very brave. As for being white trash, that's interesting, I had never considered that possibility before. Keep in mind, I may consider you white trash, judging by your previous posts and interests. As a matter of fact, I know that Dr. Island has appreciated my posts in the past. Thanks for the clarification. Here's my side of the story.. I am 1/2 american, 1/2 French and even have some Middle-Eastern in my family. I have lived in France, Germany, US, Middle-East, speak 4 languages fluently and I truly am sad when I hear most US Citizen bash every country when they've never even stepped out of their *****hole farm. After all, the average American, before this war couldn't even have pointed Baghdad on a map to save their life! Everyone one in this world knows that Americans are brainwashed by medias and will believe anything their TV will show them, this is a fact and not fiction. I still laugh at the fact that 300 million sheep in this country were shown the events on 9/11, with 2 planes crashing in those buildings, and not a single person even questioned the fact that they collapsed straight down (like with explosive charges)..and just by coincidence, the same company that picked up the leftovers in Oklahoma showed up, picked everything up and sent everything to China. The media also reported for weeks that the temperature got up tp 800 degrees in those buildings which melted the steel support. Well, in the 20th century steel melted at 1500 degrees, I guess those "vilain arabs" are pretty damn smart because they have now have found a way to "suspend the laws of physics" in the 21st century and make steel melt at 800 degrees! Just once in your life you need to wonder if everything on TV is real or not and question things, put that damn remote down along with the popcorn, the burger and your budweiser and try to think with your brain, not your remote control. Now you say also the US is great because "they can kick everyone's a$$"..if that's what you call "culture", I wipe my a$$ with that culture.
