Does anyone else drive these miserable piles of garbage?

It is such a riot to drive. For all the rough edges my 3.2 has, this car is ALL raw edges. |
That is sexy!

Have you had that one at the PDX Cars & Coffee meet in Wilsonville? It looks familiar.

Great looking car! Maybe you could just have it towed to strategic shows.

Does Mario and Mario look after it or do you do the maintenance stuff yourself? I like it http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat6.gif |
That there is a beautiful ride. I think I know it's an Alfa - yes? What model?

My finding so far is that the half-assed attempts by previous owners have been part of the problem. Sorting out the crap fixes to the already-crap electrics made most of the electrical stuff work properly. And relaying stuff so that all the power doesn't go through the switches was very helpful. |
I owned three gtv/6's in the 80's. loved each and every one. gorgeous machine to look at and to drive. better sounding than my 12 cyl Ferrari!!!
the op has a beauty!!!! |
I love mine, The last true sports car.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1507891780.jpg

Love it! Came close to bying one several years ago, fortunately had a moment of sanity. How Alfa can make a V6 sound that good has always amazed me.
|
Always wanted one. Have owned Alfa Spider Veloces over the years. Always wondered about the interior bits on the 1980s GTV. All of that black plastic has the look of being less durable than modeling clay. Thoughts?

I've always liked these
Calloway turbo'd a couple of these that come up every rare once in a while. Didn't they come from factory with those silly yellow lights on the inside or was that just for France? |
Most of these have succumbed to tin worm. They came with built in rust. They used recycled steel from Czechoslovakian to build the bodies!
But great dynamics and handling. The GTV6 was once voted the best handling car ever and it remained that way long after they stopped building them. Just imagine what could have been if they built them to a higher standard. I owned one like this when I was a student but mine was rusty and ugly but it never broke down and it was one of the first cars I DIYed. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1507901152.jpg |
Very nice
I admire your commitment and bravery to daily drive it |
Just this piece of junk...
