I can't get loaded

Just noticed this issue in the past few days. Logging on to Pelican or clicking on threads, or posting, the page doesn't completely load. The circular arrow at the top tab continually rotates, and there is the "X" at the right end of the address bar instead of the grey circular arrow. I can still read and post, obviously, and eventually the page loads completely--usually after about 20-30 seconds--if I don't manually stop the loading by clicking on the "X".

I have Windows 7 Professional and Firefox browser. The same thing is happening on my iPad using the latest MacOS and Safari.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. It is only happening on Pelican.

Same operating system and browser. Same symptoms but mine takes longer. Over a minute.

24Mbps per a test I just ran.

I have a decent machine but not a fire breather. It cannot handle a high definition movie.

Thanks for the reply, Bob. I think I was a little over optimistic on the time to complete loading. Yes, mine appears to be over a minute as well.

At least I'm not alone in this. Something change with the Pelican site?

On my computer, that usually means I have received an update, and I need to turn the computer off and allow it to reload. I will do that, and if that does not do anything, I will turn the computer off, unplug it and reboot.

Some days, Like holidays, this site is just slow.

Done all of that. It's just on Pelican that the issue happens. Just wondering if I was the only one.

No, it's not just you. The main site is fine (forums.pelicanparts.com), but it looks like stats.pelicanparts.com is not responding in a timely manner. This site does nothing for you but will somehow track that the same guys who visit the "show me your rear end" thread buy a particular brand of car wax.

Edit: The code wrapper doesn't seem to work properly.
View the source of the page and look for the Pivik session.

I get little red arrow circling too. Running Linux here, so its not your OS, its a site problem.

Win10 and chrome here. No issues at all, but I run an ad blocker. Most of the time these issues are due to some ad taking forever to load.

That is the exact reason I started running a blocker.

I've been having the same problem, but I have consumed a fair amount of tequila tonight, so I don't care. I'm loaded, even if my iPhone is not.

DanielDudley 10-15-2017 06:09 AM

But are you fully loaded ?

Having the same issue on iPad/Safari and Dolphin.
