A 'threat level midnight' Volvo V60 technical service bulletin
Reuters:
Inspired by the latest thread on Volvo seats, Leakyseals is releasing this 'ultra non important' service bulletin for pelican Volvo owners: Recently, I noticed the rear door on my wife's v60 not fitting so flush. Being the righteous dude I am, I immediately assigned blame to my wife, who can't drive, and my mother, who drives even worse, and scraped my wife's car while backing out. As fun as blame is, when I went to investigate the cause of the misfitting door alignment, ALL FOUR door catches were loose in the car. I was a little concerned since my daughter sits in the back and the bolts were jiggled loose. In the offending door- VERY loose. I was going to post a general service bulletin to the PPOT Volvo owners, but forgot until the volvo seat thread tonight. Anyway, if you are a PPOT VOLVO V60 owner- go check these for tightness and make sure it's okay. Mine were about to fall off. It would be interesting to know if the Volvo torque specs were off, or if our volvo assemblers were just hungover when they went to work that day. Good luck and godspeed! Thanks for the TSB. I just checked mine. All are tight as an Amish teenager on her wedding night.
