Anyone ever make a bell from an Al scuba tank?
I recently acquired a cuppla of condemned scuba tanks. Both of them are Al.
Anyone of you crafty sorts ever created a bell from a scuba tank? Any advice?

I sold compressed gas early on. People made bells all the time with the steel cylinders.
Not sure about aluminum. Don't think it will ring. Try it. You cut off the top. |

I have my 100 cubic foot aluminum tank, I keep thinking that I could cut it off and put it on a post to shoot at with rimfire at long range (100+yards). Shouldn't penetrate, should ring.

Google Tom Torrens Sculpture design. He has made a career out of it
in the Pacific northwest for the last 4 decades. Usually steel though. |

I'd guess Al bells would make a "konk" sound.
