Don't overlook the use of cheap child labor.. just tell them their phone is "somewhere" under all those leaves!

chicken poop is good stuff. I use "turf food" fertilizer use on my lawn - I think its straight chicken poop. smells awful but surely greens the grass up :)

The green stuff helps, especially the nitrogen in the grass and chicken poop. They have a lot of water in them too. in the summer I bag grass clippings and add to the pile if it looks too dry. I just leave them on the lawn otherwise. The Ph is about right. Most garden plants want a soil Ph of 6.5 to 7.

Gas powered blowers vibrate and give me tennis elbow.

No. It does not get better. Just starting here. I have blown and mulched leave 3 times now. The oaks don't give them up until around Thanksgiving, then I have to use my plow blade to push them out into the woods after I pile them up with the blower and a rake. Fall is a love / hate thing for me.

No vibration with backpack blower but if your in Florida I have idea why you'd need one

A Trac-Vac makes easy work of it. One pass picks up leaves, grass clippings all in one.
I've had this one for 35 years now. My fav lawn tool.

I've got one tree in the front and one in the back...I don't know what they are, but they don't like to drop their leaves until the second week of December or after the second snow...whichever comes later.

Trees are smarter than IT guys :). I have a few white oaks that keep 'em all winter....

Cyclone Rake shows up tomorrow....I can't wait! Any of y'all have Willow Oaks? Huge, massive trees, with leaves spawned in hell :(

Yes, no need here. I only use it now to clean out the garage and grass clippings off the hard surfaces.

Good to know about the backpack.

Thanks

When I was shopping for my dad a couple of years ago, wanting to replace his ancient metal hand held gas blower (I've had one too), I noticed that Stihl's smallest backback is hardly more than a handheld that you strap on your back. I'm not a fan of handheld gassers either fwiw...the backpacks don't have to be Cat 5 :)

Much with the lawnmower and when it gets too much I blow them into the lake. :D

Put my Cyclone Rake together and briefly tried it out earlier today....in no time we had dumped over 1000 gallons of finely mulched leaves :). What an awesome, well designed & well built tool...

Should have bought one years ago....had a blast....just made a small dent in the leaves though....oh well...

I picked one of those up for 135 bucks and rebuilt it. What a game changer.
