Small engine part help
I have a push blower that a small hard plastic bushing broke on top of carburetor. A rod goes into the plastic bushing that goes into a hole on the carburetor. See picture. Where can I get a new one? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1509214795.jpg

Any suggestions, I appreciate. Thanks.

Google is your friend. I have found a lot of obscure parts by searching for the device. motor brand, and part.

lawn mower shop ? for the correct part !
or mickey mouse repair get a hose about the size of the wire inside and the hole in the bell crank outside dia [the brass looking thing with the hole] secure with a wire hose clamp on each side an auto parts store should have the hose and clamps or whittle a wood dowel to fit the bell crank and drill it to fit the wire super glue should hold it in place do not forget to attach the spring wire the small wire in the smaller hole on the bell crank |
They used to have a selection of plastic bushings at the hardware section at Lowes. I think they still do.

Would something like this work? (post pics of the original)

Looks like a governor rod and spring. How about a make and model for the engine? From there I'd guess I can find the clip. It should just be a round push in bushing.

If you visit your local auto parts store - there is a brand called 'Help' that reproduces small parts for automotive applications. There is also 'Dorman' who sells reproduction OE small items. These parts are typically non-wearing so no one has them.
You're likely to find what you need under those 2 brands - and/or adapt it to your situation. |
