Exactly. There is something for everybody; that's the beauty of music.
I tried to see Deep Purple every time they came to the Seattle area. The last time had to be 20 or 30 years ago when the more or less "original" lineup got back together (Lord, Blackmore, Gillan, Paice, Glover). What a fantastic show. John Lord was very, very good, in a whole different way than the "prog" rock guys playing with the Moogs and whatnot.
I thoroughly enjoyed every one of these bands back in their day, and still enjoy them today. So much talent in all of them, at every position. Folks may or may not like any particular one of them, but there is no denying the talent in any of them. Yes is kind of my favorite from this genre and era, but they were all fantastic.
