I need to point out these ribs were BETTER day two than they were right off the grill. plenty tender reheating on my gass grill wrapped in foil with a touch of apple cider for moisture. last 5-10 minutes was unwrapped with some sauce (two racks) and naked (one rack).
Absolutely better than the day before. Not sure why.

Same here. Smoking a rack of ribs, some salmon, and a chicken breast later today. This is not the change in diet I needed.

How cold does it need to be outside to need that grill blanket?
Badass smoker. I’m trying to cut back on meat, so I should prob not buy a smoker

Not sure on the blanket. First night I played with the smoker it couldn’t hit 350 for the initial burn in. I figured it was due to 40 deg temps so I ordered the blanket. Turns out I had the heat shield box thingy adjusted wrong. Hasn’t been that cold since but it has no trouble hitting higher temps even without blanket. I figure since I’ve got it now might as well use it.
Agree on meats. My intake has spiked and I’ve gotta get back to where I was. Problem is each time something works I’m like ‘ooh what else can I smoke?!’ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Next project is to check grate temps with a separate thermometer as I’ve read these things can be off significantly.
