Chase Suspect Arrested For Driving 208 MPH On Kilpatrick Turnpike Posted: Nov 16, 2016 7:26 AM AKST Updated: Nov 16, 2016 7:38 AM AKST BY: NEWSON6.COMEMAIL Hector Fraire mug CANADIAN COUNTY, Oklahoma - Authorities arrested a man accused of leading an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper on a pursuit, and at one point, driving over 200 miles per hour on the Kilpatrick Turnpike. According to the OHP, in the morning of Saturday, November 12, 2016, a trooper was on the Kilpatrick Turnpike in Oklahoma City when he noticed a Mustang going about 85 mph in the 70 mph zone. He tried to stop the car but it took off. That’s when the chase began. Troopers said the driver, later identified as 19-year-old Hector Fraire, accelerated and clocked the speed at 176 mph. At one point, he was driving at 208 mph. He also turned off the headlights and brake lights in an attempt to elude the trooper. A Canadian County Sheriff’s deputy then spotted a car matching the suspect vehicle description near Sara Road and Northwest Expressway. The trooper caught up to the Mustang at a red light at Northwest Expressway and Highway 3. Fraire then turned south, pulled over and dropped his keys out of the driver’s window. Fraire was arrested on multiple complaints, including reckless driving and a felony count of eluding. Troopers said he is a member of a local racing group. Yea, that was a big story one year ago when it happened. Even a few TV announcers looked confused when they said 208. The driver has a great souvenir a ticket for 208. It would be interesting now that it is a year later to find out what fines he paid.

Police have fabricated the whole story.
Possibly if he was in a well setup 944, but not a Mustang. |
I know it is an old story but what is the top speed if the fastest Mustang?

I'd love to read some actual facts from someone other than that "journalist."

Oh I don’t doubt you could get a Mustang to go that fast....
Someone that age owning it though.... |
Wow, exciting stuff going on in Canadian County...from yesterday's news. Maybe the county motto should be "where the cars are fast and the teachers are faster"?

Guessing that teen boy doesn't feel like such a victim. Would probably be glad for repeated victimizations!

Are you sure they didn't actually mean KPH, not MPH ?
