Buying eBay from Canada to America, no problem.

I am looking at buying a new digital camera (Nikon D7200).
Searching for Black Fridays deal and so far the best I have found is an eBay camera shop (99.9 positive feed back) in Canada.
Should I have any concern about my order getting across the boarded?
TIA

Sorry , I should have put a question mark in the title.

The only thing I'd worry about is whether or not the warranty is good in the USA. Nikon USA might not honor it since it isn't sold in the US.

I've purchased numerous products from Canada and never had any issues, other then shipping taking a bit longer then a USA seller.

For shipping stay away from the usual Brokerage Fee Thief's like FedEx or UPS.

Unless it comes via USPS/Canada Post (reverse in your case) I always pickup my stuff at a USP store in NY. In your case you are a bit far from the border

I think you can become your own broker through the US Custom department.

But the warranty would be a show stopper. It might be coming from outside Canada so I wouldn't.

In the US, NikonUSA has an official policy of not accepting for repair (at any price!) items that weren't purchased through official import channels, so that means that the third party repair options are limited: third party Nikon authorized repair centers.

This, I know 100% for sure Nikon Canada will not cover a camera bought in the US, says so right on the .ca website. I would imagine that it's the same the other way around.

I got all OCD and went ahead and ordered from the Canadian store after checking the Canada Post website and it didn't seem there were any problems shipping electronics.

Seeing as it was free shipping I presumed it would shipped through the post... just got the receipt emailed to me... shipped UPSS = UPS standard. (they didn't give shipping options)

I have done a bunch of shipping for work with UPS/FedEx so I guess I'm rolling the dice on this one.

From the site JJ posted:

NikonUSA Import = Warranty plus Repair out of Warranty. If you purchase an officially imported product in the US, you get a warranty that NikonUSA honors. Moreover, once out of warranty, NikonUSA will repair the equipment (and charge you for the cost of repairs).

I appreciate the help, but the point is moot... I already ordered.

I am currently using a D80 that is probably 10 years old and never had any problems, that to say I'm pretty confident in Nikon product.

You can send it to my Canadian address and I will bring it across the border and ship it from Michigan if that helps.

From the ad, there is a 1 year warranty and it does mentioned no Customs, Duties or Taxes when shipped to the USA. Almost sound like it is in the US but the guy does not want to say it... Maybe to keep Nikon US away...

In any event, should you have some problem, plenty of people around here to help.

Just bought new Volkl skis from Canada off of fleabay. Absolutely no problems and they were shipped Canada Post. Arrived within a week. Shipping at $50 US not great but I got a great deal on the boards.

Yep, I buy a lot off the internet and find many people play fast and loose with "location" (probably for the reasons you describe), but as long as the product gets to me on time and is as described I don't worry too much as long as the eBay seller has 100% rating.
