Christmas train time again...
I just did a search here for posts on Christmas trains around the tree. Interesting to see how things have progressed over the years. I improved ours this year by making use of a three way switch track and actually got it working with power switches.

Very nice. When the kids were small we used to have one going tightly around the tree. I think we still have the set somewhere - it was LGB. This year no tree, no presents - just a family vacation. I had an HO set ~55 years ago - I don't recall we set it up around the tree. My Dad's joke was he was going to get me 1/4 mile of straight track.
