That looks like a rolling wreck dangerous to operate. Glad I'm a dry climate guy.

In Washington State you are permitted to drive vehicles on the beach. This is what happens.

If I lived in your climate Fred: My good car would stay in the garage in the winter.
Then, I'd travel out west every 5 years and buy a used vehicle for winter use. Cheap enough that I could walk away after 5 yrs....

Yikes
My silverado rockers are just about gone, POR15 didnt work nearly as well as I'd hoped. I would really like a new truck. |

I have never seen anything like it. A little surface rust, I am freaking out. Now I know why folks in the snowbelt come out here to buy cars. We just don't have stuff like that here.

If that was a Taco it'd be in two pieces.

Yep. Last month my'06 F150 suddenly started vibrating with a noise indicating a rotating part rubbing against something. A quick look confirmed the steady bearing on the two piece drive shaft had parted company with the cross member due to rust. Thankfully the cell phone still worked and a 15 minute ride got the old beastie to a garage.
The bad news was they couldn't just replace the steady bearing. The whole drive shaft had to be replaced. I keep telling myself we don't need the truck since we sold the horse trailer. But the drive shaft likely doubled the value of the truck. Perils of the salt belt. Best Les
