I've been around here for the most part for 16i years. I enjoy reading posts mostly vs posting and while I do not own a Porsche any more (also sold the 'Stang!) I still come back to this forum as enjoyment/small break in my day.
You guys complaining... ever heard the saying "if you do not have anything good to say, say nothing at all?" As far as I am concerned you're looking more the knob than you think Paul is. |

The way people reply to complain on a message board where a reply keeps a topic hot baffles me. If you don't want to see it, don't reply, replying makes it multiply. Personally I enjoy Paul's stories, he had a cool Porsche, he now has a cool Mustang. I didn't sell my Porsche's to get my V8, but I sure drive the V8 more. |

Do you know what Month we're in? Are you dizzy? Is it because of the pain? ...your massive butt-hurt? |

That said, there are tons of aftermarket exhausts out there for Mustangs. I suspect that's probably what you're hearing. Michael, you'd be welcome on IMBOC, the Bullitt Mustang board, anytime. Some L.O. guys there, also a Canadian who posts of tracking his 350GTR. Poor guy...his original tires were good for only 500 miles. ;) |

you do realize that you are now complaining about those who complain about complaining. Right? Just an observation. |

I was looking for the modern comforts of a current gen 911 without actually getting another Porsche. I ended up with a car that the brand mascot is at risked of being grabbed by the president. The current gen 911 is a better car, but I have more trust in the kitty's reliability given Porsche's 1999+ history has a lot of grenades. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...0feefd42c3.jpg |
Very pretty...I like the lines of both the Jag and Aston Martin...long hoods are kind to the eyes. Have been ever since the E Jag caused a stir over 1/2 century ago. I still remember Henry Manny, writing of the E jag in R&T. Called it "The greatest crumpet collector".

This is the OFF TOPIC forum, I enjoy talking about everything from other brands/models of cars, to retirement, to cats/dogs, to pool problems, and other real life situations.
To those of you who want only Porsche 911 talk, there is a forum for that, I suggest staying there. Yes, I have a Porsche, and a Mustang, love them both. |

How many more are needed? It is marvelous technology...and nobody should complain about 25+mpg/gobs of gojuice/good looks/good price/homerun...But I would like to order mine in a Focus RS please. |

Driving out in the country, my 290HP is all I need/want. A 45MPH speed limit, and a single lane to drive in doesn't give a lot of need for power. It is really a matter of where and how you drive. I like to drive easy, leave space, maintain momentum, and stay to the right unless passing. When I'm on a busy multi lane road and someone cuts in front in my space and hits the brakes to make a turn, without horse power I'm stuck, with horse power I can blast into the space they just left and reach the speed of that lane. |
^ Good point on the use of horsepower. It's not all about drag racing.
Hmmm, IF they build an '18 Bullitt, maybe I should give it a serious peek, despite my current one having only 27,000 on the odo. |

I'm not sure just how many years Jaguar offered it, but you could get the same engine spun interior trim for the XK as the Bullitt Mustang.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1512951609.jpg It'd be fun to get a British Racing Green XK with the spun aluminum interior and custom made torque thrust wheels in the correct bolt pattern and offset and have a bullitt Jaguar. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...l-img_4885.jpg |
Damn..that does look familiar! Yep, a Bullitt Mustang exclusive...You know, that Jag might look pretty spiffy with torque thrust of even minilites! :)
On complaints...those cup holders are worthless for holding cups if you have a manual. All Bullitt Mustangs were built with a manual. Great for holding my sunglasses..also, the billitt aluminum shift knob looks cool, but can be problematic on freezing cold or blistering hot days. I can't blame those who switched to a round plastic Hurst shifter style. Thinking back to my old '65 Goat...probably the best shifter knob of any car I had. The Hurst round ball...it felt just right. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1512952144.jpg |
Absolutely beautiful.
