Any wrought iron/steel fence experts here?

I need to have a 70 foot long, 8 feet tall "wrought iron" fence put up at a commercial property. With a 20 foot motorized sliding gate.

Like this:

The posts are 3x3 inch, the smaller rails are 2x3 and the pickets are 3/4 by 3/4 inch.

All that seems good.

I'm having trouble trying to figure out the thickness of the material, and what' normal.

He said it's 16 gauge. Does that seem right? Too thin?

I think there's also 14 gauge, which is a little thicker, but of course more expensive.

What would be "normal" or reasonable for this?

What are you attempting to keep at bay with the fence ? The motorized sliding gate will require more rigidity from the remainder of the fence.

It's just a standard parking lot.
