in your youth..were you good talking to the ladies?

or vice versa..ladies. did you have game?

man..i didnt.

i seriously want a re-do on some of my encounters.

not fair if you're very very good looking. hahah..
i'm thinking back right now about some of my near misses.."Judi" brought back memories. and i met her when i was older and did okay.. when i was a kid..i was a mess. zero game. i was off to a grand start when i got the hottest girl in 4th grade to be my dance partner in PE. (dont make me say Square dance)..i still remember her clearly. DIANA!! i asked early..before all the other kids knew what was happening.

it was all downhill from there. hahah.

sorry i'm bored.

Nada. I somehow lucked into my wife, and fortunately, haven't needed (or developed) any game since. I have realized now that I'm older that there were a few missed opportunities when I was younger (a couple in particular stand out as really big misses) and I had absolutely no idea. I just never understood the signs.

It's funny, after I met my wife, I seemed to have game and didn't know it. I had some women chasing me. I can only assume it was because I had no skin in the game and was therefore more relaxed.

Thank goodness I still have the missus (23 years), since any attempts these days are apparently harrassment anyway. Hahahah

A recruiting consultant at a Toronto based firm asked me if I was a player back in highschool. I asked why. Apparently his employee said she had a conflict of interest working my profile because we had a thing and it didn't end well. He laughed. Gave my resume to the partner. Good guy.

You know, a lot of young ladies just want someone to sit near them as they go on and on and on, you don't have to be good at talking.

I was a high school loser, never made it with a lady
Till the boys told me something I missed
Then my next door neighbor with a daughter had a favor

Nope.

Even worse, I was completely unable to pick up on when a woman was interested in me. I pretty much blew every encounter in high school and college unless the girl was super persistent.

Even worse than that, I had a female friend (so I thought) in college who decided I should be her permanent backup, and actively spread false rumors about me to shut down any potential relationship before it got off the ground.

I had pretty good game which improved exponentially as I got older and discovered lots of women have weak spots as far as guys are concerned. First there are lots of losers in the world - male & female, so if you're not perceived as a loser by the opposite sex, you're ahead of the game. Women (single & married) like nice guys (mostly). They also succumb to the hard to get routine. So if you play the nice guy but not exactly available routine, it works out pretty well. Plus it gives you the opportunity to learn more about a lady and decide if you want to get something going with her, or if she's BS crazy under it all. Later I learned it was OK to be straight forward about it lots of times, since women sometimes have the same thing on their minds as you do.

I had reasonably good game back in the day. Still do, but I'm happily married.

I had some but really didn't take full advantage of it. I'd like a redo as well.

Sorta like legion. I found out years after high school I was a hot commodity but too dumb to even know it. Plus, I was scared of wymmin.

In college I was so out of my league I had to buy tickets just to watch the game on TV.

No game whatsoever, I couldn't pick up on a clue if they slapped me across the face with it. I do think it was a bit more difficult before the advent of texting/personal phones/facebook/linkedin. Back in the day, we had to ring the doorbell, face the parents, or call on a land line that was attched to the wall in the very public kitchen.

I figured it out.

I pursued her (Karen) a little freshmen year. She told me she wasn't interested. I stopped the pursuit.

Sophomore year I was interested in her roommate. All was going well until suddenly her roommate stopped talking to me out of the blue.

Realizing that I'd lost interest in her and really only thought of her as a friend, Sophomore year she invited herself to spend the night in my room. I offered to sleep on the floor. She had a boyfriend. She had other ideas. It was fun, but I knew it was a one-off. (She probably told her boyfriend about it hoping he'd beat me up. He broke up with her instead.) I still wasn't interested in her anymore.

One day, over the summer after sophomore year, she called me up and told me that my friend Bob was harassing her and asked me to talk to him for her. I called Bob up and he started laughing hilariously. After he finally calmed down, he said: "Dude! She just called me, told me you were harassing her, and asked me to talk to you!". We came up with a plan: never, ever mention it to her again. She craved drama and conflict. We would deny it to her. The next day, the three of us hung out. She was visibly irritated that Bob and I weren't fighting over her. She finally blurted out: "Did you guys talk!?" I replied: "Yep. We worked it out. Don't worry about it." We refused to ever tell her about our conversation. It drove her crazy.

Junior year she offered to give me a ride home for Thanksgiving (we were from the same home town). She told me to swing by her room that night around 8:00. At 8:00, I stopped by. Her roommate told me that she had left that morning. 8:00 was after all of the busses and trains had left. I had to call my parents and have them drive down to pick me up.

By this point, we were no longer friends. I didn't talk to her. I didn't invite her to stuff. I'd say "hi" in the hallway and that was it. I started dating my now wife at the beginning of junior year. She wanted me as a permanent backup. Shortly before Christmas, she started spreading rumors on the floor that I was a coke head (never touched the stuff) and my wife was trying to trap me into marriage by getting pregnant (we'd not consummated at that point--when I heard that rumor I knew exactly who started it and why). She was trying to break us up. One night, my wife and I had a long talk and I explained the whole situation to her. That same night, Karen, the psycho, fled Illinois for Colorado never to return. She knew that we were onto her, and couldn't bear to deal with the fallout. I've been free of the ***** ever since and my wife and I married six years later.

Never been popular with women in anything other than friends. Not considered attractive enough. The ones I have been able to date over the years all say the same thing.. "It's not that you're ugly, but your not attractive either. Your personality makes up for the shortcomings in how you look".

I was married for a while and even she said the same thing. Tried dating again after I got divorced, but got no where so I gave up.

Haven't been on a date in nearly 12 years.. I have asked a few women out in that time, but the reaction is always the same... shock, disgust, fear and of course "No". Real fun when they ask "What did I do or say to make you think I was interested in you at all??".

Guess I was MGTOW before it was ever a thing...
