Pat was a great front man. A hauntingly perfect voice paired with some great guitar rock. The Smithereens were and will remain my band. After all my years as a fan, I finally met Pat and Jimmy at the Whiskey. They were the real deal and my night was made extra special having met them.

Pat will be missed. This one hurts.

Big bummer. We have seen them a couple of times at a small venue in So Cal...really excellent shows. Long time fans here. Very sad.

Although I was never fortunate enough to see them/Pat live......I loved the Smithereens and can't tell you how many times I have played their music over the years.

"Green Thoughts" is just one of those albums that ranks way up there - in the top 10 pretty much, IMHO.
