************
Hi
Just out of curiosity - when "bad" words are used the forum replaces them with ********. This also seems to be the case for a certain supplier of parts; ************. (Here with incorrect spelling paaurtsclassik to fool the system) https://www.************.com Anyone know why? Johan |
The owners of the board have zero interest in supplying any information or mention of the competition. I suggest you go over to their web forum and ask about Pelican Parts. Oh wait, they don't have a FREE forum do they.
Would you expect AutoZone to have the price list for NAPA on the counter? |
It's a privilege to use Pelican Parts forums so I'm more than happy to not go around recommending the opposition.
Also it's particuarly friendly of them to have a classified used parts section. |

You are probably right. I tried with a couple of other competitors and same thing. New to me. I appreciate the forum as well, although I'm sure it is not here out of the goodness of their heart. It draws a lot of traffic to the site no doubt. Personally it is the first place I check when I need something. Johan |
I use all the typical parts places to get part #s then shop Amazon before ordering.
Sounds like a dick move I know, I got sick of waiting 5-10 days for parts to ship. Now I get them in 2 days with free shipping for comparable prices. There is a rumor to owner of Pelican sold his interest to attend to his family, I think his timing is perfect. There is a shift in how to supply parts and a company like Amazon is leading the way. Pretty soon Amazon will be a bad word on here as well. |

it is looked down on because it is considered advertising for the competition.
