Cracking qualifying. Shame about Jorge, he's been riding so well of late. Really looking forward to the race after that!

Man, poor Jorge has become king of the nasty high-side. What mechanical failure caused that?

was it mechanical? perhaps oiling the rear tire?

looked to me like losing the rear trail braking in... but I'm an old slow guy

Ducati won't say but if you listen closely to the replay his engine just quits. That's likely what caused the rear to either lock or slow enough to come around. Their electronics should be able to handle most situations so I'm guessing a mechanical issue.

Someone learned how to do a "Dovi" !

I can't even imagine sitting atop an engine in a cowskin body suit in that kind of heat.

Just wanted to follow up and say that I now very much like Simon! Because of his former bike racing background (I didn't realize this before), he seems able to get a lot of interviews that Dylan couldn't; Simon brings a little more cred to the game. Anyway, I think he has improved and I've gotten used to his slow, methodical speech.

+1

BTW 0.001 sec was the margin in a race today. Will they need to go to 0.0001?

Anyone catch that nasty high-side Fabio Di Giannantonio‏ did in the M3 race! WOW! HORRIBLE! I'm always pulling for him. Was also shocked to see his championship leading team mate, Jorge Martin go down!!!! UGH!!! That championship is still up for grabs!!!!

Does it make me a "bad man" to confess that I enjoy M2 and M3 more than the "premiere" GP class?

Lastly, I very much enjoy the world class coverage via motogp.com. Some of the best camera-work ever and I do like the commentators. However, my one big gripe: WTF is with these guys and the over-use of alliteration (I think that's the word)?!?!?! All season it has been this way. Some examples:

"Bologna Bullets"
"Marvelous Marc"
"Majestic Martin"
"Classy Crutchlow"
"Sizzling Suzuki"
"Fantastic Fabio"
blah, blah, yadah, yadah

I feel it's reaching a point where Carmelo Ezpeleta is gonna tell 'em to STFU!!!!
