Jorge is stupid fast if the bike is perfect and it is dry. Other than that he is near useless.
The Duc was and seemingly continues to be a bike that precious few can figure out (Stoner, Dovi - Yes; Rossi, Hayden, Lorenzo, Capirossi, Melandri, Crutchlow = No). Gonna be a long soul-crushing season for JL. Until Suzuki buys him out of course.

+1. I've said before that he doesn't have the ability to ride around problems or fight from the back. I had hope for him that year that he finished in 5th with a shattered collar bone but he hasn't shown me much since then.

Zarco rides for free? Or maybe it's a secret.

A lot of dust on the surface of COTA. I've often wondered why don't they just bring out a big honkin' street cleaner to clear the dust and debris from a track?

And I just remembered a friend is racing in the MotoAmerica superbike race, and its FA cup semi final weekend. I doubt anything productive is going to happen for me this weekend.

Marky Marq may need a good old fashioned smack in the head. In FP4 he came very close to torpedoing Rabat with a move up the inside. MM backed off in time no harm done and all good. But you'd think that he'd be more circumspect in light of recent events. Race control must have a microscope on him right now. Word is that the safety committee is considering increasing the severity of punishment for reckless riding.

Moto America

Congrats to the Westby team on a great rain ride by Mathew Scholtz. Herrin did some nice work too on a very very new bike for Attack. I hope everyone has a good Saturday night in Austin, and a dry race tomorrow.

The stewards bumped him off of pole and down three slots because of that.

Didn't see that, but good. If he wasn't Spanish, it would probably been six...

Nice qualifying!!!

Please, somebody explain to me WTF is happening with factory Yamaha!!!??? I just don't understand how with all of their data, experience, and resources, they continue to suffer!!!! The bike just doesn't seem to be evolving in progressive fashion. Is it electronics?
