new 356?
|
Interesting, yeah, sort of.
It's like a 911, Audi TT and 356 had an orgy. I like the backend better than the front. I'm not sure I'm digging the front bumper. |
Is that re-bodied Cayman?
Need a more rounded roof line to look more like a 356 |
No.
(yes to the cayman by the looks of it) |
that rear 1/4 window look so strange on there

THIS is a cool 356 based on a Cayman!

Nothing can compete with the original iconic 356.....nothing.

This looks like it may be related to the OP post.

For less money I would go for a fiberglass replica with a tube frame and air cooled 911 running gear.

The Corvette guys have been doing this for a few years. Theirs are ugly too.

The later ones are a bit better, but the earlier you go the worse they seem to me. The picture above, cool picture, but that car looks halfassed to me. The front bumper/nose is way to high , you can see the under pan. Is that a model that is supposed to have a bumper attached to it?? Looks like they forgot to put a front spoiler on that, which obviously for a 356 would look like a joke as they aren't that fast anyway. I was in the Museum this year, they had a line up of 356'es, all in to much clearcoat.. felt underwhelming up close. There are much nicer bodies from that design period Now they may have been great to drive compared to other cars in the era. But design wise, bit meh. I generally don't find many cars from the 45-55 era very "sexy".. The big design movement then was happening in the US , Europe was still licking it's wounds. Late 50ies https://www.supercars.net/blog/wp-co...7-08.37.32.png The only interesting 356 to me is from Porsches friend, Abarth http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/image...h-GTL-5503.jpg Now i don't say you can't have some cool pics with some 356es.. especially outlaw modded cars.. But the original 356'es to me look well, they mostly just are an evolution towards the 904 & 911. |
Nope.
