eRacing.. Anyone playing Project Cars 2?

Anyone playing Project Cars 2? The added competitive license rankings to this version to help separate the 12 year old arcade players from the true nerd/wannabes.. lol..

We need to get a group together from here and form a team!

I like PC1 better than Assetto Corsa, but have not yet bit the bullet on PC2. It does look promising though with the new features. How are the physics?

Physics aren't too bad. A few of the cars are wonky, but some are really balanced and feel great. The career mode stinks. Qualification is kinda meh unless you have the time for it. But just loading up quick play, they give you "motorsport presets". It makes getting into a race with the types of cars and classes you want easy. I typically turn off qualification and just start from behind the pack.

I have a t150 with the pro pedals. Feels good once you adjust some settings.

I use a G27 for all the racing sims. I like it other than the brake pedal is a bit soft. Gave the Logitech Momo to my daughter since she drives with an auto transmission anyway. At least until she gets her license and can learn how to drive a manual.

None of the ones I have have ever had decent qualifying going all the way back to Sports Car GT. The worst is rFactor with the Dirt Works Designs mod. You can run hot laps and be at the top and then be 2 or more seconds down on a 3/8ths mile track after qualifying.

It is more fun trying to pass everyone anyway.

The only driving game I've ever played before was Gran Turismo 1,2,3 and 4 on a playstation, years ago... This one seems pretty good. I'm running a custom built high end gaming machine with three screens and a T300 rs wheel/pedals and the clarity is amazing. Full HD! After I finish a good race, my heart is racing and I'm all pumped up and a little sweaty.. lol..

This is a short clip of my initial setup/first race at Laguna Seca while getting used to everything.. I have dialed in the controls a lot better now.

This video was taken with my phone while watching a replay on the screens, so not too clear and in the replay, you can chose to rotate between different camera views..

PC1 has issues running 3 screens. It treats them as a single wide screen so no way to have the screens at an angle. Looks like PC2 is on my short list.

We have so many racing games from over the years and many were from Humble Bundle. I think the one had 8 or 10 racing sims for $15. Everything from Spintires to Dirt Rally to PC1 are from Humble Bundles.

The kids and I do GT Legends together and the boy likes Spintires and Flatout. The girl likes the road race stuff more than the off road stuff. All of us like capture the flag in 1nsane.

It is great to be able to race the whole family, but it sucks from a buying all the equipment side. None of us can beat my wife in racing monster trucks. Who knew.
