VA Issued Veterans ID Cards now available
The subject of some state drivers license denoting status of being a veteran and what if any perks came from it came up in another thread. I had forgotten about this but it seems that you can now actually apply for and get an official Veterans ID from the VA:
https://www.va.gov/opa/pressrel/pressrelease.cfm?id=3979 https://themilitarywallet.com/veterans-id-card/ As to any benefits of the ID Card? Mainly just promotional discounts, free admissions to some places, etc. but a nice gesture just the same. I remember when the bill was signed there was some publicity but certainly little if any since then.

Eh, I thought it was easier to show everyone your dd214?
Watch some businesses are going to go towards active/retired status for discounts meow

Home Depot only gives retired and disabled vets discounts. Lowes gives all vets the discount.
