Things ya need to make it through winter

No. 1 for me...A garage with a hotrod in it, with a GOOD heater. A tremendous heater or very tremendous as DJT would say.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1516640404.jpg

Hmm.
My list, once the Miata is under cover has more to do with an old guitar and scotch.
Best

A Hot Springs Spa on the backporch, along with my big woodburner in the living room. My main shop is out in an unheated large barn. I can still do small projects in my tool shop which is fully enclosed, insulated and about 8'x18', and attached to the house. My "Mr. Heater" makes quick work of warming this space up.

Winter ??? We're getting to where we don't know what that is around here. We did have a one over night cold snap (29 deg.) here in the intermountain area (3,500" elevation), but I haven't had one fire in the fire place so far. Don't need nuthin to make it through winter around here. Next weekend is supposed to be 80 deg.

Yep. I'm heading to the golf course now...In shorts and a short sleeve golf shirt. There's not a cloud in the ski.

We haven't had winter here, yet. Well, unless you count that 1 week where the highs only got up to the 50's. Was 80 degrees Christmas morning.

Granted, I live in Arizona, but this is really unusual for us. I'm at nearly 5000 feet and the mountains surrounding us are typically covered in snow all winter, and we get a few "decent" snow storms down in the city per year. This year...nothing.

It's a real winter here. I'm getting over the flue and it's stormy, so I'm not going too far from the wood stove.

We're into the January thaw now. This serves well as a reminder that soon the crocuses will pop up. These breaks in the deep freeze do a lot to get me thru.

My skis and a good snow base does me just fine covering my year round need for speed.

OK-944 01-25-2018 06:10 AM

A good supply of Laphroaig and Eagle Rare, a full tank in the John Deere, firewood in the wood-box, and an understanding and affectionate spouse!

cold weather flipflops and a light fleece
