Totally bummed about the recent news on Louis CK.

I'm not going to make excuses for Louis CK's disgusting behavior (which he's man enough to immediately admit to) .. but personally, I just can't equate his perversion to the forceful actions of a rapist, nor the predatory victimization of young girls (or boys).
It sure is shake-up time in the entertainment world .. |

A lot of people in influential spots are really vulnerable right now. It's impossible to know how many deserve it (certainly many have earned their scorn). However, almost all the power is in an accusation--as much so now as ever but today any celebrity is a potential target.

Who knows if it’s true but I’ll say I listen to a lot of comedy on Pandora and Louis ck makes me very uncomfortable. Creepy.

He's being quoted as having admitted to the accusations. But it seems that prior to this, his capacity to make people uncomfortable with what he was talking about was seen as his trademark and he was rewarded for it. It seems that he standing there being honest the entire time. Other than the women he cornered into watching him wank, were people complaining about being weirded out before this all came to light?
Either way, it's interesting to watch how people are reacting to all of this. K. Spacey was an acting genius one day and a horrible real life villain the next. Dissonance really messes with people--more so than I appreciated for a long time. Quote:

OK here goes... I'm not trying to push this into PARF but it needs saying.
I liked Louis. He's a funny guy with lots of talent BUT when this stuff came out I felt really disappointed to say the least. This is really creepy stuff. What was he thinking? Meanwhile... "Gross Crook Dirty Rotten Lying Sack Of..." - (His comments about Donald Trump from a recent interview on the Stephen Colbert show) I loath hypocrites.
