Reading between the political lines, I believe France and Germany are still our allies; and are working with us. Their roll is to sing "Born Free" while Bush twirls the lasso and shoots in to the air . . .meanwhile the rodeo clowns do all the dirty work of containing the big ugly bull. (we hope)

Our esteemed Allies can't afford to not work with the USA. I said previously that their security forces are probably in lock step with our own in tracking down Terrorist cells and money.
The Germans and french don't want to be locked out of the decision making process...they don't want to be irevelent, which is what they would be if the USA acts alone and/or occupies Irak. I believe this is totally about reordering the political structure in the mid east, more than oil, revenge or weapons of MD. That is what Bin Laden basically said in his message yesterday, so he agrees with me.
