What do you see when you type Porsche in Craigslist?
Pretty abysmal here. 1 ratted out cayenne , 1 overpriced cayenne. 996 cab, 2 944s, and a bunch of wanted ads. Rarely many parts or project cars anymore .
I always like to keep an eye on what is out there locally, and it is getting to be less, and less all the time . |
A couple cheap Cayenne's, a few Boxsters, a 996, 997, 83 911 SC, a beat up 944 that's been for sale for 2 years, some Ronal wheels, some 911 seats, a set of 916 bumpers, some random Porsche engine, some slot cars, a Porsche wanted ad and a bunch of other ads that have nothing to do with Porsche.
It's been years since I've seen a project car other than a 944. Plenty of those still around and people seem to think that the 'Porsche' on the back means the scrap value is quadruple any other steel. But a 911? Years. In fact it's been years since I've seen anything other than a 996 or above on the roads here. They just don't exist other than parked in the ultra exclusive indoor classic used Porsche dealer we have here. |
I bet if you search Lima/Findlay Ohio CL, you'll find my white 85.5 944......still for sale.

Two Cayenne's, and a game. Also a Jeep and a Chevelle willing to trade for Porsche. I had to travel 300 miles to get my Cayman 3 years ago.

Zero local results found on Craigslist. Four for sale on Kijiji tho. Kijiji is owned by Ebay (now). It became more popular than Craigslist up here and more people use it than Craigslist. :)

26 "Porsche" hits in Akron. Pretty skimpy. One 73 for 75k
This one is unique. A Devin with 356 brakes. https://cleveland.craigslist.org/cto/d/1960-devin-sports-car-with/6470194628.html |
What amazes me is how many 944's end up on Copart as donated. some 914's, 924's.. I did see a 911 donated some years ago that appeared to have mold on the seats..some run and drive, some don't. I've seen some really nice looking ones (at least from the photos)

Heh heh... fun idea, so I checked... answer: quite a wide variety. Be sure to click on the '65 Falcon Ranchero to see the 914 project car.
