Grady Clay Article From Panorama
As a follow-up to my other thread about vendor ads and classifieds from the set of mid-70's to early 80's Panorama's that I recently acquired, in continuing to go through them I came across an article about Grady Clay and his class win at the 1981 Colorado Grand Prix.
I thought those of you who remember Grady would enjoy reading the article and seeing the pictures of him. This is from the November 1981 Pano. For those newer to the board who aren't familiar with Grady, search the archives. The knowledge and history that he shared with us was priceless.

The assumption is that anyone posting interesting stories on Internet forums is usually less interesting in real life than on the forum. Grady was the opposite. He was fascinating on PP and was even more amazing in real life. And a true gentleman too.

Thank you for posting. I was lucky enough to have him hang out and help me with some stuff on one of my older 911’s years ago.
And drink beer. |

Grady is one of my good Porsche related memories.

Stilling kicking myself for not jumping on his invitation, but i was beyond broke from the old 73 S pos Targa, and when i sold it, moved back to belgium, bought my house and by the time i was back in shape, Grady no longer was..
He was quite the character and ever so helpful in so many ways.
