An Economic Treatise On The Development Of The Wheel

A long time ago men had to carry home their days dinosaur steaks on their backs and then the firewood to cook those steaks. Thus the origination of the phrase, "Ohh my aching back." This simply got tiresome so men thought my wife doesnt do anything but lounge around the cave all day watching Ophra so I will put her to helping carry the load. This lasted about a week as the wife complained that she was too tired to have sex. So our intrepid man had to come up with a solution so he started eying the family dog, who didnt like the looks of the situation, so he took off running. That's why there are so many stray dogs. Anyway our man hit upon the idea of using a burro (pack animal) to carry the load and everything was fine for quiet awhile. But as the loads increased the burros load limit was reached and more burros had to be added to carry it. It reached a point where it wasn't cost effective to add more burros so another solution had to be found. At first a sled was used but the drag coefficient wasn't energy efficient so other innovations had to be employed. At first they tried using a square wheel but didn't improve the situation so they tried a rectangular wheel but that didn't work out any better than the square one? Someone then thought of a hexagon wheel which was better except for the bumpy ride which led to the invention of butter. Finally the solution was hit upon shave off the corners of the hexagon so that the sled with wheels would roll instead of bump along. Then as an improvement a bit of butter was used to grease the wheel to facilitate efficient turning. So now man was able to move much heavier loads than a burro could carry at a fraction of the previous cost. This then set the stage for the development of modern economies including the interstates.

I think this qualifies as a PhD dissertation.

It usually starts with one person. The catalyst. In this case, Mamie.

She was raised in a triangular wheel community.

God Bless the moment she met Ike in the 20's. We would not be talking on computers without her contribution.

She rode his ass like a Christmas pony for creating the interstate system.

That is quite some indictment of higher learning and academia.

What if the wheel invented man as a means of propulsion, and now mankind is trying to re-invent man away from powering wheels?

Maybe we should return to our roots, and put lots of locomotive power through wheels.

Ike's military road trip in the summer of 1919....62 days from coast to coast at 56 miles a day...it was this journey that made Ike aware of the need for a better road system in America. During WW2 the German autobahn showed him the benefits of a stream lined system.

I disagree with your disagreement of my objections.
That's just using circular logic there.
