So I was thinking of posting something today,.... JUST BECAUSE.

Everyday we all hear of some crazy event happening where people are killed or something tragic happens and boy it just sucks sometimes. Sometimes looking at the world we live in you just have to take a step back and shake your head, hope for the best.

SOOOOOOOOOO.......

Maybe we can make today a day where you smile just for a second because of something good you read or see.

EVERYONE please join in and take a second and post something that made you feel good for a second or two, maybe even smile.

I will go first.......

I wanted to share something that happened with my oldest son yesterday (he is the taller one of the two lil knuckleheads pictured)

I have been hunting and hunting for 15in tires....... I was running 215-50-15's all the way around the car, 8's in the back and 7's in the front. I really liked the look of the 215's.

IMPOSSIBLE to find these days. So I ended up getting 205's all the way around and before I had them mounted I was a bit bummed because I was SURE I would not like the thinner tire.

I had the new rubber mounted, took my bucket up bolts home and cleaned it up and stepped back looking at the tire/wheel fitment....... I REALLY LIKED THE END RESULT........ so I was in a pretty good mood.

then THIS HAPPENS.


My oldest son who was kneeling down NEXT to me looking at the Pcar at the same angle I was looking takes a step back and says......

Papi I really really like the way the car exhaust smells.......

It's like cologne for the car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Made me smile ear to ear,....... I'm doing something right fellas!

Coming out of work for lunch, and feeling the sun's heat, and having to squint....not a single cloud in the sky, 60 degrees, and a light breeze in Feb, in Northern Ohio. THIS made me smile today.

Riding my motorcycle home last night, in the rain. Split laned to the front of the line at every red light and the cars seem to part for me at every stop. Drove today.

I watered our plants in the backyard yesterday in hopes it would make it rain today.
It worked.

Different than most, but here's one at which I smile and tear-up nearly every time I read it - even after eleven years. Earned by my older of two U.S. Marine sons during his second Iraq combat tour. It's not terribly clear so hopefully y'all can read it.

I was watching re-runs of Top gear this past weekend, the ones with Jeremy Clarkson and not the American DBs.

They went to India to promote diplomatic relations and British commerce.
Then I watched the one where he was driving a 928 and the other guy was driving a lotus in south america. I literally LOL several times.
Not just a smile, not a chuckle, a loud and uncontrollable laugh. I haven't done that in years.
That was good.

We can finally sleep soundly and safely at night knowing Nalu is on the job!

I thought of posting a short pool video...the best player on the planet "getting beaten" by an 8 year old. But that would be a thread killer for sure...

Had to smile this afternoon while my granddaughter was playing in the activity center I built for her third birthday. The pup was stealing toys every chance she got. We were just having a great day outdoors in the yard.
And it was the last day of February in Nova Scotia.

Indirectly related to having a "Smile", I had 5 bad teeth pulled today (former radiation victims) in order to get new replacement inserts, and try to improve my smile. I was really glad/happy after 4 hours when the numbness wore off, and I was finally able to sip some water without spilling any.

Back to actual smiles raising money for kids.

Nothing beats a day out in the woods.

On the 14th, one of the neighbors dropped off a box of dog bones as a valentine from his dog to mine. Was a nice surprise when I went to work in the morning and started my day with a laugh and a smile that lasted all the way to work.

-12°C the past two-three days, and it will be getting colder. Nice dry cold, dry roads. Puts a smile on my face.

Another smile....tomorrow is FRIDAY, with more sunshine forecast for the weekend.

This is not a typical feel good story but I always smile when I think of it. LOL actually. One day my neighbor and I were out running errands. I am driving my dark green S10. He needs to stop at the bank. I wait outside. He comes out and proceeds to get in...............a silver Tahoe with a large black man at the wheel. Then he makes a quick apology and an exit. I have no idea what he is thinking and neither does he or the stranger in the Tahoe. I LOL every time we drive past that bank and i do remind him of it.:D:D

My smile comes from me today.
