I suppose this gets into semantics. The first time you rebuild an automatic transmission, you don't have to have faith in your Chiltons manual. If you follow the instructions carefully, your transmission works when you are done. Then you rebuild another and another. Over time, it becomes obvious that the instructions were correct. It doesn't require faith. It only requires that you take action, and carefully follow instructions.

Who said there was a manual?

Dude, lay off the meds.... or get back on them.

If you have a tested IQ of 160 and I have a tested IQ of 140 then I am stupid compared to you. Or should I say slower..as in being a Lenny. You also would be thinking differently than I am...you could see connections that I could not.

That was not a great sentence on my part.

As it stands I think differently than almost everyone here. When I see something complex (like human behavior) I just know what it is without thinking about..that is how fast that I now process information.

When I elaborate upon something I am merely telling you that 4 is lessor than 5 and 6 is greater than 5. I am telling you the process of how it works. If you think that I am being sic egotistical that is a flaw in your thinking..that is your interpretation, and from your experience you go ohhh that is sic egotistical. You missed it, strike one. One could say that is you thinking inside the box of your own narrative. You are not seeing the complete picture of what is there.

Whether you are stupid or not has no bearing on how content I am. It is what it is. When I make comment that people are stupid or are balls of confusion in varying states of being wound up I am merely stating an observation of what is from my vantage point.

If you get upset about that then that is a reflection about your own state of confusion.

By mentoring the boys / young men from our church, it gives me an opportunity to share and pay back. It doesn't always go well, but I keep trying. My hope is someone may be doing the same for my son, a positive influence. I share this story with them as a lesson

I'm glad you've found an answer that works for you. Ain't none of us perfect...live & learn, and then keep on keepin' on...that's the deal. Best wishes to you and your son...lots of folks DO change...you did, I did, he might too....

Be well....

So, who are you trying to convince, yourself or us? Why so insecure? It seems that if it were true, it would be us telling you, 'you're the smartest SOB in here', instead of vice versa.

Somewhat opposite of what TABS claims, it must be painful to be so prideful !

So my contentment is finding peace dealing with my past and knowing my future, spiritually, will be great.
