speaking of dentist, I was there this afternoon and the smell...

was freaking killing me. This big girl who was trying to put in a crown on me. She must be the new assistant? Her mask was just over her mouth without covering her nose. Her face was right over mine and every time she exhale, it blew straight into my open mouth. Not like I can close it to protect myself. They had it pulled open wide like a hippo. It was disgusting. I wanted to say something. This went on for a good 5 min. When she breath through her mouth, I can smell that lunch. Holy siht men, I don't know how I survived that without fainting. I remember reading about all the farts and wanted to return the favor to just let one rip only there is no ammo at the time. Would you have said something?

Big girl with hamburger breath. Aphrodisiac to some. Not me though.

I'm going to the dentist this afternoon, I brought my toothbrush/paste to keep me from being the one with bad breath. I hope they do the same !

Although My dentist is asmoking hot, dark skinned brunette with big brown eyes.....so it might be forgiveable.

Sounds like the office needs some OSHA and Infection control training...masks must go over mouth and nose. Plus yes it's gross.

And there goes another keyboard...coffee through the nose! LMAO:D:D I'm pretty self conscious about these things (sharing close personal space), so if I do my part, I expect them to do theirs! Chew some gum dammit.

Well, let's hear sumuvem!

asphaltgambler 03-08-2018 03:50 PM

She works for a large / prestigious oral - maxiofacial practice here in northern Va. They see patients from all walks of life and backgrounds. She interviews them prior to surgery specifically screening for meds - drug use, etc. because as she says .......people lie.

So she looks for body language or other hints as it's no joke of patients aren't telling the whole truth, they could die during surgery.

Recently, a woman had an odd reaction when asked about drugs, prescription or otherwise. She whispered that yes I smoked some............crack. Ok well how recently? Uh...........today 5 times..........

She almost fell out of her chair............that ya go

My dental assistant yelled at me for eating candy. Like really yelled. Then she tried to kill me by dropping cotton balls down my throat. Then I saw her a few weeks later in the store buying candy!

Crowbob 03-09-2018 06:16 AM

My dentist was constantly advising me to floss twenty-two times a day untill I showed her a link showing that flossing does abbasolutilly nothing to benefit your teeth and/or gums.

porsche930dude 03-09-2018 08:38 AM

i just use mouthwash after lunch and light brush. Before i go to bed i mouth wash and brush. floss maybe once a week and my teeth have been mint

stevej37 03-09-2018 08:50 AM

Flossing is more important for those with teeth that trap food easily.
I floss every day..enough food stuck in there for a snack!

i LOVE my dentist.

i moved away, but still maintain my dentist relationship. my boss is annoyed when i have to take an entire day off for a teeth clean. my wife and i just do back to back appointments and hit up a nice lunch in our old haunts..then meander home.

back on topic..well close. i once had a message from a lady that had garlic smelling hands. i love garlic, but damn..i was so grossed out, i got up and left. my wife was in the next table as part of a couple message.

i am blind and deaf, but i have the nose of a beagle.

so none of you would say something, nice, pretty lady or not? What if its a dude? "Hey dude, put that mask on fully, will ya?" "Its like smelling a sunk's ass"

Not to take this thread sideways but I don't mind a female nurse when I needed a catheter installed. I was so uncomfortable that I just wanted to get the pressure released from needing to pee.:)

I don't mind a female nurse or dental assistant. For the heavy stuff I want a dude doing the work. But like I said, to each there own.

When you are in that situation, I don't think it matters who had to do the work. My sis is an RN and has done many cats for men. Many cringe when they see her coming with that damn thing. My father included and he demanded to wait for my sister when he was in the hospital. He would suffer for a few hours in the beginning but eventually let his guard down and get the relief. I don't really care mail or female
