Help needed - Load contacts - Bluetooth RX 350 Lexus
 

Maybe someone smarter than me can help out: For a winter car, I bought Ms LCE a one owner, low mileage 2008 Lexus RX 350. I have our phones paired and cannot seem to load contacts. It was all very easy recently with my 2015 Tundra, but this might be the early days of Bluetooth?

I get to the point where I'm prompted to "transfer contacts" and it all stalls. I can find no prompt on my Iphone to start the transfer. One google search indicated to push the talk button on the steering wheel, but none of the buttons do anything.

Once I have contacts loaded, I guess I have to do "voice tags", but not sure I'll get the proper menu with "options" to do voice tags.......

anyone with an early RX 350 have any tips? Thax....

I confess that I don't have Bluetooth hooked up in my 2011 Lexus RX350. If you join the Club Lexus forum rx 350 appropriate to the age of your vehicle you can get help there.
Mine is third generation but I don't know what yours is. Easy to join up that group. I hardly ever go on there as seldom anything goes wrong. Just join the group, introduce yourself and ask for help.

We have the same issue. My Tundra was easy but her 2011 Lexus still hasn't loaded contacts. Now when she need to make a call she goes through siri on her phone and then connect the call.

I just did a search on the 2nd generation club lexus rx350 forum and it might help you....

Guy - Thanks for the offer. For others with this issue, here is what I know now:

It is not possible to transfer contacts if you have an Iphone and your carrier is Verizon. Not likely from an Iphone from any carrier. Some other phone/carriers do offer this feature.

Siri is working fine for now.......Thax for the tip.
