I don't know if I've had corned beef since I was a kid, I can't say I've ever had a craving for it. |

Try Fuchsia Dunlop's version of it, maybe reducing the vinegar just a tad.

Patrick arrived in Slane, Ireland on March 25, 433. There are several legends about what happened next, with the most prominent claiming he met the chieftan of one of the druid tribes, who tried to kill him. After an intervention from God, Patrick was able to convert the chieftain and preach the Gospel throughout Ireland. There, he converted many people -eventually thousands - and he began building churches across the country. He often used shamrocks to explain the Holy Trinity and entire kingdoms were eventually converted to Christianity after hearing Patrick's message. Patrick preached and converted all of Ireland for 40 years And most of us gringos think Cinco De Mayo is Mexican independence day. |

I have experienced St Patrick’s Day as a celebration of drunk people buying me green beer. Damn good holiday and a great time to do something to show your appreciation for the snake haters of the world.

Happy St. Patricks Day to ye all from Cork in Ireland.
May the wind be always at your back, and may you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead. Dave |
Happy St. Pats day.
I'm loving a Guinness, but the corn beef & cabbage dish is not widely celebrated here at all to my knowledge, which seems strange as we embrace the day with great fervour otherwise. What's that all about? |
