Realistic expectations to a spinal fusion?
Anyone want to share their experiences? Have you had a second level done?
|
Do you really need a fusion? My way of thinking is a fusion is like jumping off a bridge, no way to ever get back on that bridge.
Have you explored stem cells? Stem cells are the real deal, IMHO in the next ten years replacement parts will be the thing of the past. 6 weeks ago, I had a stem cell injection in my shoulder which on x-r looked about gone to the wind, a sliver of cartilage and a conventional Doc would say titanium replacement. Nope, I picked stem cell and 6 weeks later am one happy camper. My movement was very limited with level 7-8 pain constant, with elevated pain comes higher blood pressure, lousy sleeping. Now, pain level maybe a periodic level 1-2 never lingers, BP down from 140/90 to 125/78. My abduction or movement of lifting my arm straight up from my side is over 120 degrees were before maybe 75 degrees. I can sleep on it now. Amazing and only 6 weeks post. Can't wait to do my knees, again was told 8 yrs ago to get titanium knees, why?? I went with bone marrow stem cells with adipose stem cells and top it off with blood platelets. |
