where is that thread with the Marijuana ointment?

shocking what you pick up on this forum. the diversity....

i remember the ointment, not the details. any pain type?

my coworker fell off a ladder and could use some.

I asked and thought I had a PM but don't see it in my box.

My wife has back pain and I was hoping to get some for her.

After doing some research I found many of the local 'clinics' had topical creams for sale.

However you still need a MM card to buy it (despite it being legal here now not many places are selling recreational yet).

Papa&Barkley....400mg Cannabinoid content. Just rub it on what hurts!
My pain is damaged nerves in my feet and it works to 99% relief.

Legally, I don't know if that would hold up in court. It doesnt matter what the local/state laws are if your place of employment doesn't allow those substances. You could be fired, and fighting a losing battle against the cooperate lawyers.

One of my friends runs a background check company, and they offer drug testing as well. I have a question in to her on this.

If the "internet" information is correct, CBD won't set off a drug screen. The issue is the purity of CBD product.

The issue is, none of these products are FDA recognized. They are "supplements" which are barely above patent medicine of old.

Here is some more information.

It seems unlikely that CBD will trip the assay, if the person is using normal dosing. And if they do trip the assay, the better GC test will be negative.

Quote:

Regarding CBD oils or creams, the short answer is; less than 23% of users of cannabinoids that are not intoxicating result in a positive test, especially if they are using high-quality oils at standard serving size.

The long answer;

Because THC is what we look for, a routine urine drug screen for marijuana use consists of an immunoassay with antibodies that are made to detect it, and its main metabolite. The cutoff level for a positive urine screen is typically 50ng/mL. When the immunoassay screen is positive at the >50 ng/mL level, a confirmatory GC/MS (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry) test is performed to verify the positive urine screen. The confirmatory GC/MS has a cutoff level of 15 ng/mL and is specific only to the 11-nor-THCCOOH metabolite.

The urine drug screen for THC-COOH is known to have very little cross-reactivity to other cannabinoids that are not intoxicating, such as CBD (cannabidiol), CBG (cannabigerol), CBN (cannabinol), and others. This is good news for “normal” consumers of CBD/hemp oil.

That said, individuals using unusually large doses of a cannabinoid-rich hemp oil product (above 1000-2000 mg of hemp oil daily) could test positive during the initial urinary screen but in the confirmatory GC/MS would test negative, since the confirmatory test is more accurate and specific. So a consumer who uses a high-quality, scientifically vetted hemp-based product at the standard serving size is highly unlikely to test positive for THC. High doses increases their chance. Example: an individual consuming 1000-2000 mg per day of hemp oil would thus consume approximately 3-6 mg of THC and depending on frequency, may result in detection of positive urine screen. Our tests over the past two years result in positives in at least 11% of assays in candidates only using oils.
