Cool Old Porsche Build
May father in law passed a few months ago and have been going through old photos. He had built this car around 1984. The story goes that upon completion he took it to the track where he was approached by someone that wanted to buy. The offer was good enough to entice a sale. The new owner promptly wrecked it.
I am not familiar enough with Porches to know the older models but it looks like an oil door and a turbo engine. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Oil door. I guess that probably means a '72.

It definitely has Turbo powaaa', but looks like it doesn't have Turbo brakes (based on enlarging the first pic - appears to be a small front caliper and non-turbo rotor on the front left hub) - maybe that helps explain the carnage (not to mention it has the original to 930s, super laggy/lightswitch/POS turbocharger - the infamous 3K 3LDZ).

Nice car your FIL built. Not my style personally but that must have been a little painful to see all of his hard work crumpled up in only a few minutes. Yikes.
I was trying to guess what kind of 935 body kit that is. Bumper lights up front. Not bexcoauto. Not DP obviously. Maybe Eggleton? Porsche 935 Front Bumpers - Car Body Kits | Front & Rear Bumpers | Side Skirts |

How promptly did this wreck occur? I hope the sale had been fully completed, bill of sale signed, etc.

Kremer used front bumpers like that on some of their conversions/builds. ![]() |

I am not sure of the time line but it seems like he was all clear on the deal. He was tinkering on 911s right up until October.
