Its medium sized, its purple and its fast !
My wife just gave me her M3! We got busy with life, and sort of, no REALLY neglected this poor old car . It has sat outside for about 4 Pennsylvania winters now.
![]() ![]() I have kept up on the maintenance all along, and it still runs great, just getting ugly . It had the front clip repainted before our ownership, and it was a poor job at best . Looked good when we bought it ,but faded quickly and now the clear is peeling. ( We were aware of the body work before purchasing, and bought accordingly at the time). My wife daily drove this car for about 5 years when we first got it . I tried real hard to keep it clean, and nice, but .. I had no room to keep it indoors last few years . It is already sitting on ps9's stiff sway bars, centerforce clutch, and I had reinforced the shock towers, and crossmembers underneath a few years back So, I think I am going to order 4 used hoosier autocross tires, and flog it around some cones this season. I have not autocrossed in 12 years . I miss it ! I was just going to sell it , but I forgot how much I liked this car . Ill probably repaint the front clip this season. I charged up the battery last night, and dug it out of the snowdrift it was buried in this morning . Just thought I would post some car content .

E36!! Great cars. I have a 325 built for track use. More fun to drive on track then my 86 911, cheap to own to.

That's a great color on that car. Hope to see it rejuvenated with some new lipstick

If the poor paint is just on the hood, some carbon fiber look film/vinyl might look good.
A guy out at the track did that and it was very convincing if perhaps just physiological.

Love my E36 M3 . Solid build, expensive parts.. but when 'done right' it all works nicely, so well engineered. Not cheap to run, even if you install everything your self, but a nice thing to have in the stable. Buy Wayne's 101 E36 book.
A carbon hood would look nice w/ the purple, which is amazing color BTW.

Two hours with a DA with 320 grit.
Prime, paint, clear. Two days and done. Wet sand cooties out and polish. Freddy has to know how to squirt some paint. If not, I'll drive the two hours east and meet him with my bag of goodies and do it myself.
