If you want to cut thick glass
get one of these and the oil. Make sure the surface is perfectly clean.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006JFPJ7Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I cut a lot of thin glass for my media cabinet and the box store cutters are ok. This thing made short work of 3/8" glass. Worth every penny.

I've had that exact one for about 30 or 35 years. It still cuts beautifully. I had some bathroom mirrors in a rental that the silver backing was delaminating from so cut 25mm off the bottom. Looks like new again.
I originally got it for doing stained glass/leadlight windows - a past hobby. |
