Always got a laugh on reading the personals. Been a couple a months since I purused them.

Saw this notice when accessing them.

It ended with them supposedly headed out some time to ride horses, and nothing ever posted after.

As I’ve pointed out many times before, what politician is EVER going to alienate the “female vote” by taking away their easy money gravy train and actually giving the feminists what they claim they want - equality (as in, “you keep what’s yours and stand on your own two feet and the other party keeps what’s theirs and stands on their own - you’re each on your own now just like you were before you ever met”)? Simply, none. They all care only about reelection and to do the right / fair thing on this issue would guarantee they wouldn’t be re-elected since the women would go berserk for being called out. You’d see all the spite, vitriol and venom come out - “sexism!” they’d scream...

THAT would be fair and equal, but that’s not what they’re really after - they want the present-day “what’s mine is mine and what’s yours is mine” sort of equal.

So, as I read it, CL did this because a bill passed that said the women who are victims of sex trafficking can sue the websites that facilitated the exchange even if they had no knowledge of it.

Without getting too into PARF...how is this any different than a gun shot victim suing the gun manufacturer?

Craigslist Personals in the early/mid 2000's was the equivalent of Tinder & Bumble of today.
It was like shooting fish in a barrel..... eh-hem, or so I'm told :)

I will miss them as they were always good for a chuckle. Now where can hookers and fat girls advertise their availability?

Well, looks like Backpage just got shut down. Wonder if they'll go after traditional online dating sites? Ya never know. :rolleyes:
