Jaguar at Mecum/Houston

Beautiful car, but I really don't understand putting a stereo in it in this manner. Heck, I don't understand putting one in at all

The idea of having a sound system is bad, but I'd wish for a more custom execution when it comes to the controls for it.

Agreed on a beautiful car, no idea what is up with the stereo install. Maybe they didn't want to mess up the dash by installing it there? Most new radios come with a remote.

Should have been hidden in the trunk or under a seat...I think the Coupe is the prettiest of the series...especially the 120/140 series.

Checking out the 140 it made me think of the BMW 3.0 CSI. Call me weird and off topic (in off topic) but both sets of side windows make a statement.

The Jag (horrible stereo installation ignored) and 3.0Csi are beautiful no doubt.
But this one makes me tingly all over. And it gets even better as a drop-top.

I swear I saw one of these at the museum east of Oakland in '95, over the mountains. Maybe an hour east.

It is a BMW 507. They were made between '56 and '59 but I have zero idea how to date them from a picture.

And a lovely cab to enjoy. Seems like they have been priced out of my realm of reality though. Guess that happens when only 250 of them are made.

My father's late 70's Realistic install looked way better. not

Kidding aside, I believe it's pretty common to install a stereo there because it's easily reversible.
